Alejandra Arévalo Martínez is a photographer and visual artist from Bogotá, Colombia. In her documentary practice she focuses on territory, gender and identity topics. This has allowed her to expand her vision of the current society. For Alejandra, photography is a powerful tool to understand others' point of view and to position herself as an active member within a political, cultural and social context.
