Alejandra Arévalo Martínez is a Colombian photographer and visual artist whose work explores themes of migration, gender, identity, and cultural hybridity. She uses photography as a tool to forward overlooked perspectives, combining documentary and conceptual approaches with archival material and multimedia elements. Her work seeks to hold space for intersecting realities: the poetic and the political, the archival and the lived, the imagined and the inherited, challenging dominant narratives, fostering dialogue, and using visual storytelling to examine the complexities of identity and belonging in transnational contexts.
